"Cap to Kap" is a crossing of Africa in running shoes. The European team Mareike Röwekamp and Horst Schauer have set themselves the goal of crossing the continent on foot from the northernmost point ("Cap Angela" in Tunisia) to the southernmost tip ("Cape Agulhas" in South Africa).

Accompanied by support crews, they will cross 12,000 kilometres of twelve African countries (Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa) - an elaborate expedition of at least eight months.

In addition to the physical challenge and the transport of sporting values, the organisers want to promote cultural exchange between cultures and continents. Furthermore, they want to convey a multi-faceted media image of Africa, its people and cultures.

The start of the exceptional race is planned for autumn/winter 2022 (tbc).
