The second week begins and ends us for at the pyramids of Giza. From here we leave, back to the north of the Nile Delta. The place of choice is Tanta, a city of 800,000 inhabitants, known for its cotton production. Furthermore, it has a hotel for travelers.
West of the city is the Rosetta branch of the Nile, which we had followed for a long time before, and a canal that can take us on a direct route south. Orientation is thus easy, the traffic often massive.
The area is characterized by small-scale agriculture. Micro-orange plantation, strawberry fields and groupings of banana plants alternate, in between huge cabbages and lettuce.
We get as far as about Ezbert Abou Bakr. Another accident forces us to stop again and travel back to Cairo.
